Here we are as in olden days, Happy golden days of yore. Faithful friends who are dear to us Gather near to us once more. Through the years We all will be together, If the Fates allow, Hang a shining star upon the highest bough. And have yourself A merry little CHRISTmas now. http://youtu.be/5g4lY8Y3eoo The heart warming Christmas song "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" was immortalised by Judy Garland when she sang this song to Margaret O'Brien and brought tears to the eyes of the audience. The lyricist for Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas was Ralph Blane and the haunting music was composed by Hugh Martin. The song Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas was first published in 1943. The title of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas is undoubtedly one of the saddest Christmas songs of the century.

Friends are not always beautiful as they look and they walk as they talk. Friends are beautiful as they are sincere as they care and as they remember. Happy New Year!

May GOD fill your life with love, joy and peace this CHRISTmas Season and throughout the New Year! The Song of the Angels: "Glory to GOD in the highest and on earth, Peace." ~ LUKE 2:14

Merry CHRISTMAS! Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia! CHRIST, the Saviour is born! (http://youtu.be/J6P3fCDQVMI) "Silent Night" The origin of the Christmas carol we know as Silent Night was a poem that was written in 1816 by an Austrian priest called Joseph Mohr. On Christmas Eve in 1818 in the small alpine village called Oberndorf it is reputed that the organ at St. Nicholas Church had broken. Joseph Mohr gave the poem of Silent Night (Stille Nacht) to his friend Franz Xavier Gruber and the melody for Silent Night was composed with this in mind. The music to Silent Night was therefore intended for a guitar and the simple score was finished in time for Midnight Mass. Silent Night is the most famous Christmas carol of all time!

CHRISTmas Eve will find me Where the lovelight gleams I'll be home for CHRISTmas If only in my dreams. (http://youtu.be/WIk7A-mTZZU) The song was written by the American lyricist Kim Gannon, and the Jewish-American composer Walter Kent. Buck Ram, who previously wrote a poem and song with the same title, was credited as a co-writer of the song following a lawsuit. The original 1943 release of the song by Bing Crosby on Decca Records listed only Walter Kent and Kim Gannon as the songwriters on the record label. Later pressings added the name of Buck Ram to the songwriting credit.

Fall on your knees! Oh, hear the angel voices! O night divine, the night when CHRIST was born; O night, O Holy Night , O night divine! (http://youtu.be/-PqvAdz5cYE) The words and lyrics of the old carol 'O Holy Night' were written by Placide Cappeau de Roquemaure in 1847. Cappeau was a wine seller by trade but was asked by the parish priest to write a poem for Christmas. He obliged and wrote the beautiful words of the hymn. He then realised that it should have music to accompany the words and he approached his friend Adolphe Charles Adams(1803-1856).
