GOD opens millions of flowers, without forcing the buds. It reminds us not to force anything, for things happen in the right time. ~Unkhown ~ "'For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry."' ~ HABAKKUK 2:3 NKJV

Prayer has power to govern our tongues. ~ Unknown ~ "'But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our GOD and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of GOD. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so."' ~ JAMES 3:8-10 NKJV ~ GOD can and will tame our tongue in answer to believing prayer. Pray:'"Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips."' ~ PSALM 141:3 NKJV

'"Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips."' ~ PSALM 141:3 NKJV ~ When the LORD becomes the guard of our mouth the whole man is well governed. GOD has made our lips the door of the mouth, but we cannot keep that door of ourselves, therefore do we entreat the LORD to take the rule of it. O that the LORD would both open and shut our lips, for we can do neither the one nor the other aright if left to ourselves. In times of persecution by ungodly men we are peculiarly liable to speak hastily, or evasively, and therefore we should be specially anxious to be preserved in that direction from every form of sin. How condescending is the LORD! We are ennobled by being door keepers for him, and yet he deigns to be a door keeper for us. ~ Charles H. Spurgeon

Proactive fathers can't wait to get home after a hard day at work. ~ Reed Markham, American Educator ~ "'"Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their fathers."" ~ PROVERBS 17:6

The thrill of being a great father is not seeing your children go on to become successful adults. The thrill of a great father is the journey, experiencing your child's successes along the pathway to their greatness. ~ Reed Markham, American Educator ~ "'The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice, And he who begets a wise child will delight in him."' ~ PROVERBS 23:24 NKJV

Every father is the architect of his home life. ~ Reed Markham ~ '"For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of GOD?"' ~ 1 TIMOTHY 3:5 NKJV

"'Thanks be to GOD for His inexpressible gift!'" ~ 2 CORINTHIANS 9:15 NKJV ~ That the Saviour is a gift to mankind. So He is uniformly represented; see John 3:16; Galatians 1:4; Galatians 2:20; Ephesians 1:22; 1 Timothy 2:6; Titus 2:14. This is a gift unspeakably great, whose value no language can express, no heart fully conceive. It is so because: (a) Of His own greatness and glory; (b) Because of the inexpressible love which He evinced; (c) Because of the unutterable sufferings which He endured; (d) Because of the inexpressibly great benefits which result from His work. No language can do justice to this work in either of these respects; no heart in this world fully conceives the obligation which rests upon man in virtue of His work. ~Notes on the Bible by Albert Barnes [1834]

“Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.” ~ Ann Landers ~ "'My flesh and my heart fail; But GOD is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."' ~ PSALMS 73:26 NKJV

"'The heavens declare the glory of GOD; And the firmament shows His handiwork.'" ~PSALM 19:1 NKJV~ There are in the Bible 551 references to the word: "heaven", and there are 127 references in the Bible to the word "heavens". There are three "heavens" found in the BOOK. The first heaven is the firmament. This heaven is the closest to the Earth. Genesis 1:8 “And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.” The Bible also, refers this heaven as the sky. Matthew 16:2 “He answered and said unto them, When it is evening, ye say, It will be fair weather: for the sky is red.” The second heaven is the space is where the sun, moon and stars are located. Deuteronomy 4:19 “And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the Lord thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. The plural form of “heavens” quite often is in reference to the stars beyond this solar system: the myriad of galaxies in the universe. Job 26:13 "By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent." The third heaven is the location of God's throne: situate to the utter most north from the earth. According to the Apostle Paul he was caught up to the third heaven. 2 Corinthians 12:2 “I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.” The location of this heaven “in the sides of the north” is shown in Scripture in Isaiah 14:13 in the rebellion of Satan. "For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:” ~ Richard St. James
